Where It All Started

Born From a
Love of
Craft Beer.

SD TapRoom was founded in the early years of the San Diego Craft Beer Revolution by brothers Kevin and Kyle Conover. As avid homebrewers and participants in the emerging craft beer scene, they came up with an idea to create one of San Diego's first local craft beer focused establishments.

Their original beer bar in Pacific Beach offers a unique experience that allows 150+ local craft breweries to showcase their products, alongside elevated bar food and a casual, local community vibe. SD TapRoom has made its way as one of the most recognized, respected, and successful craft beer establishments in San Diego.

After founding one of San Diego's longest standing craft beer bars, Kevin and Kyle Conover set out to establish a world class, neighborhood brewery & restaurant in the heart of North Park.

TapRoom Beer Company is a casual neighborhood brewery and restaurant featuring 50 taps — half featuring in-house brews, half local guest beers that mirror the proven draft list from SD TapRoom. Our focus is on West Coast San Diego style beers, but our draft list includes a rotating variety of IPAs, Pale Ales, lagers, Imperial Stouts, and Belgian Ales.

We have always created everything in the spirit of collaboration, innovation, independence and tradition. We brew for our friends, our neighbors, our community, and our family — but also for ourselves. It's truly our passion, and we love sharing that passion with San Diego.

Brewing operations are led by Daniel Cady, former head brewer of Mikkeller — one of the most celebrated craft breweries in the world. Cady brings years of experience brewing a wide range of styles alongside numerous awards under his barrel aging program.

His technical prowess and level of creativity create a very unique skillset that comes through in every single beer we put on tap. From hop-forward West Coast IPAs to complex barrel-aged Imperial Stouts, every pour is the result of relentless craft and genuine passion.

The result? Award-winning beers that have earned recognition at GABF, the Brewers Cup of California, the U.S. Open Beer Championship, and beyond.
